To me personally, Philosophy is one of the most important subjects to learn. It’s sole purpose is to ask questions. Who are we? Why are we here? Why do we do the things we do? The questions that have perplexed mankind ever since we developed enough reason to think these things.
Philosophy have been around for thousands of years. Mankind turned these ideas into religions and the philosophers became the priests. The ideas were so important, the earliest civilizations became Theocracies (civilizations that use religion as government). Yes, mankind’s first civilizations were built around people trying to understand the nature of the world around them.
The ideas of Philosophy takes many shapes and forms. It forms religions, it starts schools, and it makes a person see life in a different way. Life is just a big question and without Philosophy, mankind would never have reached the point where we are now.
Math and Science both formed out of Philosophy. It was from people trying to seek answers, the core component of Philosophy. These subjects were only made to change people’s concept of things. People spent their entire lives making their own ideas of the world around us just for another person to come along and make polar opposite ones.
That is the beauty of Philosophy. It is completely subjective as is the world around us. There are no right or wrong answers. Anyone can make their own philosophy and it would be right, for it belongs to them.
